There's not a real "story" to my being a DJ. Playing music that people enjoy is something that I've always loved to do. I guess the story could be that when I was about 9 or 10 years old, my aunt and uncle would throw house parties for family and friends on a regular basis. Well, they did that my whole childhood but before one party in particular my aunt came to me and said, "I want you to play the records tonight." I said, "OK. Which ones?" She said, "It doesn't matter. They're all mine and I love them all." It didn't take me long to figure out not only the ones that I loved but also the ones that the crowd loved as well. I became their regular house party DJ. So over the years as I was asked to "DJ" at different times and places I would always try to remember that feeling of not just playing what I love, but playing what the people want to hear. The reaction of the people is just as therapeutic for me as the music. MY MUSIC IS MY THERAPY.
