About
DJ Ajax is my name. I grew up in a family of music lovers and singers. Music is my family love language. It it was and still is a vibe for us. I grew up listening to disco, which quickly became my favorite type of music. I took quickly to the vibe it had and still has to this day. Disco quickly became a vibe to. The beats, the soul and the heart of disco is live and full rhythmic beats that makes you dance and feel alive. Since I loved to dance this just made me express myself in a way that made me feel free and full of life.
In 1984 I began to hear more types of dance music and I became hooked. I wanted to know more. I was in a trance that alluded me to become a DJ. I wanted everyone to enjoy the vibe of it all. I begin hanging around the older neighborhood DJs, DJ Mr. Vince and DJ Tim Clifton who taught me to spin. Mixing the beats together and really expanding my horizons on different genre of music. Which lead to house music. Which is very iconic to the Chicago club scene and culture of music. I later became a member of their group Clifton sound and was one of the youngest DJs in my area. Imagine being 15 years old and spinning at fraternity parties. music was, then and still is today one of my greatest loves and passion.
I am currently one of the Co-founders and head of Club Brothers Entertainment (CBE) and doing various events year-round in Chicago.
